Basic form of the verb : a forma basica do verbo

Subject+verb

I-you-they-we( eu- (voce-voces)- (eles-eleas)- nos)

Play- live- eat- go- meet( jogar- morar- comer-ir-encontrar)

Only the form changes with : a forma muda com

 He-she and it( ele- ela)

Only add the letter (s) in the end of the word:( so adiciona a letra (S) no final do verbo)

The Present Simple is the most basic tense in the English language. It is an interesting tense because it can be used to express the future. Generally, though, we use it to describe the present activities or to talk about routines or habits.

We use the Present Simple to talk about universal truths (for example, laws of nature) or things we believe.

• It is a big house.: essa casa é grande… Fact: Fato

• I'm a teacher : Eu sou o preofesor ..Fact fato
• We are at home: nos estamos na casa

Use 2: Habits and Routines- Hábitos

We also use this tense to describe actions that happen frequently. For example: habit and  routines

• We go to work at 7:30 AM every day .nos vamos ao trablho as 7 todos os dias  Routine: Routina
• My husband watches the TV in the evening.O meu marido asisste a TV na noite  Habit, Routine: Habito

Adverbs of Frequency : Advérbios de frequência

The Present Simple is often used with the frequency adverbs:

• Always : sempre
• frequently/often: freqüentemente
• usually: geralmente
• never: nunca
• sometimes: as vezes

A few examples how to use them in sentences:

• I always go to church on Sundays. Eu sempre vou á igreja no Domingo
• I never eat anything after 10 PM: eu nunca como qualquer coisa depois das 10
•  I play basketball every Friday: eu jogo o basketball cada Sextafeira
